Also the WRITING, my goodness!!! It was just so easy to effortlessly dive right in and engulf yourself in the story, and the world of these characters. This story was just all around perfection, and just felt so real. I was hooked instantly from the very first page. It honestly only took me 2 days (sleepless days, but so worth it though)to finish, since it was so HARD to book this book down. Personally, I’ve been in sort of a reading slump for awhile, and this was just the book I needed to change that. “Broken Pretty Things” by Amber Faye was literally EVERYTHING I love in an enemies to lovers story and so much MORE. This story was just all around perfection, and I LOVED THIS BOOK SO MUCH! I am WRECKED Y’ALL. I LOVED THIS BOOK SO MUCH! I am WRECKED Y’ALL. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.more I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. She moves the story fluidly with her perfectly painted scenes and delivers a fantastic story.

She brings a friends to lovers romance ,adds in a touch of mystery ,some very steamy scenes and tons of emotions throughout. The author does a terrific job building the story and had me glued to the pages with the dark ,intense story line.

All This is a well written book with a cast of strong characters centering on Andie and Gunner. This is a well written book with a cast of strong characters centering on Andie and Gunner. I don't like flashbacks, especially when they are useless! i didn't care that he had a crush on her, i wanted to know how he was feeling as he was doing all the bad things to her.Īnother problem was that even though i couldn't put the book down, at 80% i was pretty much bored, the reveal about what really happened to the best friend was boring. the reason why he hates her is that he thinks she's the reason why his best friend killed himself, and since page one we know that, so why read about how he felt for her in the PAST? My problem with this book is that it had 55 chapters and i think 3 chapters were on the hero's pov during the present. I've been craving a bully romance, even though I always get angry, I still love reading bully. the reason why he hates her is that he thinks she's the reason why his best friend killed himself, and since page one we know that, so why read about how he felt for her in the PAST? i don't like flashbacks, especially when they are useless! i didn't c tropes: friends to enemies to lovers my problem with this book is that it had 55 chapters and i think 3 chapters were on the hero's pov during the present.
